Prefab Cabinets Picayune | Patterns
Good afternoon readers of Prefab Cabinets Picayune. We are glad you have decided to spend this time with us. Luckily for me it’s storming. On the day that I have to drive all the way to Hattiesburg. When I can’t see in the rain. And people wonder why I have anxiety. Personally I feel like this is a sick joke, but maybe things will clear up before I have to go. Will I be freaking out the whole way unless I see clear skies? Of course. Why wouldn’t I freak out. I can freakin see in the rain.
I guess we’re going to talk about why people put patterns in their homes. I was going to let everyone know how I feel about these patterns in homes, but honestly with the sudden burst of rain and then the fact that I have to drive in it is kind of screwing with my peace of mind right now. Will I have to go back and rewrite all of this, more than likely so. Patterns are an iffy choice if you are going to decorate your home. They have the potential to be gaudy and tacky and trashy. Now if don’t correctly then the worst you have to worry about is getting sick of the pattern or it going out of date which will happen fast because it’s a pattern. That’s what happens.
There are different types of patterns out there and all of them really need to be used in moderation. I can’t stress enough about knowing how to incorporate patterns in your home before diving in there and tossing in a patterned couch or something. People’s houses are looking like puked on jungles with all the patterns thrown together. It just shouldn’t happen. As far as I am concerned it shouldn’t.
Somethings I’ll let slide, like patterned pillows. If done correctly, patterned pillow can add accent and life to your bland house. But too many of them and it will look like dooky and we have enough people’s houses looking like crap these days kind of like the patterned pants they wear. Am I being mean about patterns? Perhaps I am because I’m sour about having to drive all the way up to freakin Hattiesburg when I could stay home and do what I want…like sleep. But no, I have to drive to Hattiesburg. It’s making time go by slowly too having to do something I dread.
If you are really going to voluntarily put up wallpaper in your house then you need an intervention immediately. Not only is wall paper a definite no go, but a patterned wall paper (which they usually all are) is the worst thing you could do. Please for the sake of humanity stay away from patterned wall paper. You will save yourself a LOT of humiliation and heart ache. Just say no to wall paper and patterns. If you don’ want to listen to me, then so be it. But don’ expect anyone to come over to your house. Just saying.
Some people prefer adding decorations to their home that have squirrelly patterns on them. In my personal opinion this is the safest way to go if you want to add patterns to your home. It adds just enough touch without being overly obnoxious. Be aware that patterns go in and out of style quickly so you can easily get sick of your patterned decor and then have to start all over. Honestly fads are one of the worst things to fall into because in the long run it will cost you more money than you were willing to pay in the first place.
Tip of the Week
The tip of the week is brought to you by Wild’s Cabinets and Flooring. We got yo back. Today’s tip of the week is on a more positive note. If you are struggling with fine lines and wrinkles try sticking your face in ice water for ten to fifteen seconds. Personally when I tried that this morning, the lines around my eyes seemed to tighten. However, I’ll have to do this routinely in order to see if there are really lasting results.
