Prefab Cabinets Picayune | Master Bath Decor

Good afternoon readers of the new and improved Prefab Cabinets Picayune! We are glad you are here to join us today for another issue of Prefab Cabinets Picayune where we have been talking about yours truly and the remodeling experience. There are so many crazy adventures that come with remodeling a home for the first time. Mostly those adventures are gigantic disappointments. But there are the moments where the remodeling is done for a time and you can start the decorating process. Cue the girly screams. Personally I have also had my share of disappointments when it comes to decorating as well. So we will see what happens with the master bath coming up soon…

My Master Bath

I can’t technically say that the master bath is “mine” but it will be half mine which means I need to decorate it accordingly. What I would like for the master bath to look like and what it will look like are two completely separate things. What I want and what will be are never the same thing. There are a lot of you out there who get what I’m saying. Today’s article is going to be about the bathroom decor I’d like to have.

Dreams, Dreams, Dreams…

Pink decor would make me so happy in the master bath. My future husband…not so much which is why I think subtle pink accents will be the way to go. I slipped in some pink decor in my wedding registry but at times I feel a little guilty for asking for these things. I really am digging the pink, navy, gold theme this year. The wedding and shower is going to be done up in this theme as well. There is something homey yet glamorous about this theme. I may have to be careful with how much pink I slip in there though.

Rustic Vintage

Maybe I have discovered a new kind of theme, but rustic vintage might be a look that would work with our master bathroom. Actually the more I think about it, our hall bath is sort of leaning in that direction. I’d love to do the hall bath in a deep red accent. I’m not a fan of red, but those deep rich red tones can be beautiful and elegant while not interfering with a man’s masculinity. At least I think so. Looking for a deep red bathroom hand towel seems to be impossible lately though.

Baby Blues

One thing that my future husband plans on doing for an accent wall over the tub is a light white washed blue. We were going to tile everything, but one of the surprises in home remodeling is expenses. So we decided to go with wood and paint it. Going with blues gives me more options that what I thought originally. For instance I could always go with the beach theme which is mainly blues. I could also go with navy and light blue and gold and omit the pink altogether.

Yellow & Marigold

Lately the bathroom colors are going towards bright and happy. Canary yellow and marigold are making a come back. I am not a particular fan of yellow, but I can see how a few yellow accents would look pretty nice in a bathroom. Especially in the summer and spring months yellow tones brighten a space up dramatically. It’s hard for me to not think of big bird or tweety bird when using yellow in any way. Like I said, I do not really like yellow. But I can see to where I am loosening up and might very well use some yellow in my home.
