Prefab Cabinets Picayune | Magazine Style

Good afternoon readers of the new and improved Prefab Cabinets Picayune! Today is a new day and we are about to embark on a new journey in Wild’s Cabinets and Flooring. The weather has permanently gone down ten degrees however the humidity is still alive and kicking whether it’s choking us out or not. We have a bit of exciting news for this weekend. Poplarville is having its first fall festival. The Sweet Tea Festival is going to be Saturday October 19th. So if you are going to be in the area I suggest you come by and take a gander at the Sweet Tea Festival.

Magazine Style

Some people out there are perfectly content with their homes looking like ordinary spaces. However there are those of us who would rather our homes look magazine perfect. And you know what? There is nothing wrong with that. This article is going to be for those of us who are striving to get our homes to look magazine perfect and how we can achieve that. We are going to have options for the budget conscious as well as those who can burn through cash like it’s nothing. So settle down and let’s get started.

Know What You’re Doing

The first thing you need to consider when the end goal for your home is a magazine perfect result is to know what you are doing. You can’t just grab any decoration and paint colors and flooring, throw it all together, and then hope that it all comes together. Maybe there is a one in a thousand chance that would work, but are we really willing to waste that much time and money on a chance so small? I am not, personally. So do some research in the very things you are hoping to mimic. That’s right. Magazines.

Risking Fads

The con about making your home look magazine perfect is those styles tend to follow too closely to trends and fads. Part of the allure of the magazine perfect home is that it is stylish yet maintains its forever classic look. Choosing a look that will take longer than six months to go out is what you are going to want. A magazine perfect home is going to be filled with beautiful classic designs. The focus is on the pretty classic looks that are not going to go out of style.

Classy Navy

Right now a look that would be pretty and classic would be to incorporate navy. For instance a bedroom could be done up with light wall, windows that let in natural light. The bed frame is a natural grey wood finish with vinyl flooring. A beautiful pinched grey comforter with subtle patterned pillow shams will look great with a navy throw laid out tastefully at the end of the bed. Of if you have a nice cream colored armchair in the bedroom you can drape the throw over it and add some navy throw pillows to the bed. Navy accents are a delicate classic touch to a magazine perfect bedroom.

More Traditional

A more traditional approach would be a simple kitchen with natural colored granite counter tops and antique white walls. Cabinets are a traditional dark wood finish and the appliances all stainless steel. The floor is a light colored tile with a touch of navy on the kitchen rug. As for decorations we are using lemons. Lemons are a fresh and classic decorative way to add color and good feelings to a kitchen. I don’t recommend adding them to any other room because then it will just look funny. You wouldn’t have lemons setting up in a bathroom. That’s gross.

Tip of the Week

The tip of the week is brought to you by Wild’s Cabinets and Flooring. We got yo back. Today’s tip of the week is stop looking at the clock. I am no rocket scientologist but it seems that every time I look at the clock it makes time go by more slowly and when you are at work that is not something you want to happen. Once you start you won’t be able to stop. It becomes a habit, a compulsion and before you know it time seems to have stopped all together.
