Prefab Cabinets Picayune | Clashing Styles
Good afternoon readers of the new and improved Prefab Cabinets Picayune. Today has been just splendid with a headache indicating the tropical storm headed this way. Besides that having to deal with the constant decaying state of the human mind in individuals is adding to the pain in my cranium I am sure. But Wild’s Cabinets and Flooring must persist and prevail despite the ignorance and stupidity of human beings. This is why I prefer feline company opposed to human company. They tend themselves and keep their opinions to themselves as well as mind their own business.
Clashing Styles
Not everyone is blessed with living with someone that shares the exact same style with them. In fact, I would go so far as to say that this is virtually a non-existence occurrence in life. So how do you share a space with someone and at the same time express your individuality in your home? This is a question I have been asking myself for the past year considering the human I will be sharing a home with has raging redneck style whereas…I most certainly do not in the slightest bit. In fact our styles are polar opposites. So today’s article is going to be based around what I think would be a decent solution to this sort of relationship issue.
Compromise & Communication
You didn’t think that compromising and communication ended when it came to sharing a home, did you? Well, unfortunately this is an issue that will end once you are dead. And that is basically it. So first thing to do when your styles clash is to learn how to communicate and be willing to compromise where you can. As long as you can do these two things all the other aspects of styling a home together will be a piece of cake…maybe.
Decide On A Mutual Theme
One option you have in designing a home around two distinctly different people with opposing styles is trying to find a style that maybe you both can agree on. It might not be either of your top favorite, but it could make both parties happy and it would make the decorating process much easier. Not only will you both not be arguing over which style to put in the house, but you can actually enjoy some together time picking out decor you both like and are excited about.
Opposing Styles Coming Together
Like two completely different people coming together in a relationship, combining two styles into one home can be a beautiful and mentally exhausting experience, but in the end you will be glad you worked hard on it. Bringing two styles together into one home can turn out to be one of the most attractive and unique home designs. Not only will it be unique to you, but it will feel even more personal. Guests would appreciate the comfort and homey feel of your design. Just make sure to compromise evenly. The last thing anyone wants is to suffer the consequences of an uneven compromise.
Not All Styles are created Equally
So let’s get real for a second. Not all styles are created equally. Some can come together and create a beautiful style while others will clash like someone puked up a Monet painting. Take into careful consideration which styles you are bringing together to make your joint home design because you need to make sure you are not moving into creating a mass disaster of a design. Do research of possible samples of the same style partnership you will be creating to get some ideas.
Tip of the Week
Today’s tip of the week is brought to you by Wild’s Cabinets and Flooring, Poplarville’s local cabinet and flooring shop. Come by and see us! Here’s today’s tip: do not stand by a glass door watching someone drive a forklift for the first time. If you know anything about a forklift then you know how dangerous a first timer’s driving lessons can be to ones health, especially on-lookers. The driver may just ram the back of the forklift into the glass door and over your body. So be aware of where you are standing and how close because you will get slammed.
