Prefab Cabinets Hattiesburg | Update
Good afternoon readers of the new and improved Prefab Cabinets Hattiesburg. We are so glad you have decided to come join us again for another round of prefab cabinets Hattiesburg. It is a fine humid day in Poplarville, Ms, surprise, surprise. Yours truly spend ten minutes in the hot car trying start it without turning it on like a genius. If my family doesn’t believe me when I say I am exhausted and stressed let this be a sign to the nations that I need a long healthy nap and a hideaway from the world for about three weeks. Maybe longer. And a beach. With some cats.
We have been discussing my personal experience with home remodeling and this article is just another update for the masses who are wanting to learn and relate to the beginners guide of remodeling your own home. I have a lot of tips and warnings that I have learned along the way and imparting this fresh knowledge to our readers is the goal. We will be talking about sheet rocking a kitchen and hallway today and what I wish we would have done and things that I am glad we did.
Help Is Always Needed
When putting up sheet rock, especially on the ceiling do not try to do it by yourself. Not saying you can’t do it, but I am saying that you are going to wish you called Bro. Wonderful from church to come by and help you. In case you didn’t know, sheet rock is heavy. It is long and it is not going to cooperate with you. If you are a man and you think your wife can help you put up sheet rock…well, she can, but in all reality put your pride aside and ask for another man to help you. You will be glad you did.
Thankfully, we had help. I didn’t have to lift a finger to help with the sheet rock. Not that I could lift it anyway. My dad came by and he helped put the sheet rock in the hall way and most of the kitchen. And even though there were two grown men putting up sheet rock they struggled a bit lifting each sheet. I am going to mention again how heavy sheet rock is. If you can get help, get it and let them help you put up the dang sheet rock. You will be glad that you did.
If you are anything like me you need a clean area while you are working. When I cook I like to clean up as I go to give me as much available space as possible. Same thing with remodeling a house. While the guys were working on the sheet rock I was cleaning up as close behind them as possible. Not only did it make it easier for them to get around and find tools, but it made my little black heart happy to see such clean space. If you don’t have someone to keep this up for you then I highly advise you get someone to do this while you work.
Make Yourself Heard
A lot of times when men get to working they have a plan in their heads and they are physically incapable of deviating from that plan. One of the things I wish I had done more and I still find it a pain to do so is be heard. If you don’t like the way something looks or the sound of your man’s plan speak up and make sure he understands what you are saying. More times than not he is going to want to hear your input. He is not jut building this house for himself, but for both of you.
Tip of the Week
The tip of the week is brought to you by Wild’s Cabinets and Flooring. We got yo back! Today’s tip of the week is never stop being heard. Men don’t always listen. In fact more times than not they only heard what they want to hear coming out of your mouth. So when it comes to wanting things done a certain way in your home remodeling process and it seems like your man isn’t listening what you are saying, make sure to remind him. Remind in him different ways that way he has no excuse.
