Product of the Week!

We are trying out a new section in our articles called “Product of the Week.” In this section we are going to talk about the products that everyone is going crazy over this week. Our product of the week is a genie incense burner. For all of our 90s kids this takes us back to our Aladdin days. This silver (or gold) genie incense burner is going to add some Arabian flare to your space with the intricate detailing and embellishment.

Holiday Ready

We all hate to have to be faced with this, but yes. We are going to start approaching the holiday season with the Fourth of July starting us off. Not many people these days make massive celebrations out of the holidays preceding Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. But even if you are having just a small group over for the fourth you still need to make sure your home is in tip top shape or else you are going to be shamed and talked about forever and then you won’t be able to go out into society.

First Steps

One of the first steps to getting your house ready for the holidays is cleaning that crap up. If you are anything like me then you need to organize your clutter and more than likely dust all the dead skin particles off your furniture. That’s the last thing you are going to want is your friends and family sniffing up your dead skin. If you have a pet in your home you might want to go the extra mile and make sure you house smells like there isn’t a pet in your home. I know people are all like, “this is his home…” but unless you are okay with being a hermit, people don’t want to walk up into your house and be bombarded with pet odor and fur. Just saying.

Deeper Measures

If you house is really in need of some help then you are going to want to put some extra effort in there and whip out paint jobs and such. A touch up paint job on interior and exterior walls will do wonders for lightening your house up. People will notice that something is different but won’t be able to put their finger on it. Be careful to cover up any rogue nail holes and whatnot from rearranging hanging decor. Speaking of decorations…

Decorations

Not everyone is into gaudy holiday decorations, but if it is your thing to go all out in the celebration of the holidays then just be aware that you are doing in style. Guests can be turned off right away from sitting in a space where they are surrounding by tacky holiday decor. There are other options these days that can satisfy your need to decorate for holidays and still create a pleasing, comfortable atmosphere in your home for guests. Understand that it is still your home, but unless you want to repel people you need make sure it is comfortable for guests.

Yard Work

Believe it or not even if your house is immaculate, people are going to judge the crap out of you by your yard. If you have a cluttered disorderly yard that is not cut and tidied then people are really not going to want to step foot out of their vehicle to get to your house. People are essentially cats and dogs. They are picky creatures and if you want them to come over and spend time with you for the holidays then you might want to make everything about your home people friendly.
